About me

As a baby I realized that my crib was on the wrong side of the room at a strange angle.  I learned to walk by pushing my bed over to the sunny side of the room overlooking my parent’s flower garden in Nebraska.   After graduating from college, I moved to New York to study acting. My career took off and I was making a good living appearing on television shows and commercials.  But by the time I bought and furnished my first home in the Hollywood Hills I could tell that the new “stage” of my future was the magical transformation of living space.  I didn’t realize it was a job back then.

Every day off, and there were plenty, I spent my spare time shopping at antique stores, estate sales and flea markets for my new house. I was passionate about finding the dazzling deals.  My Father suggested that if I continued to be an actress, I should get my teacher’s degree and my real estate license “Just in case”.  He scared me to death.

Since then I have bought, renovated and sold homes in Greenwich CT, New York City, Southampton, New York, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Palm Springs and an ancient water mill in the southwestern part of France.

Now, as a Beverly Hills real estate agent I can tell my sellers that “Moving is a VERB!  Let’s get a box and do this thing.  First, I de-clutter like a maniac, and then place a few gorgeous and soulful things in the house and immediately head to the flower market.  That is my look and my muse.

My search for magical items finds me on expeditions to destinations such as Argentina, Mexico, Paris, Istanbul, Florence and downtown L.A.   It can be a successful journey of dedicated buying or often just plain serendipity.  Either way it’s heavenly for me.
